Set in Port Elizabeth’s natural forest, with a rolling lawn, large jungle gym and play area and spacious undercover seating, The Boma is an ideal venue for celebrating your child’s birthday. Our standard party packages include party packs and the use of our facilities. Optional extras include our popular interactive reptile displays, unique African drumming playshops, pony rides and jumping castles.

Reptile Party

Kid’s love our hands on reptile displays including a large selection of non-venomous snakes, lizards and tortoises. All kids have the opportunity to listen to an informative, interactive presentation and to handle some of the animals. The birthday boy or girl gets extra opportunities to assist the presenter in handling the reptiles.

African Drumming Playshop

An unforgettably unique party! Each child gets to use their own drum, and the group learns to play perfect percussion together. Includes a fun Zulu dancing lesson.

Decorate your own cupcakes

A party entertainment winner! And it can double up as the birthday cake. Each child receives a plain cupcake which they can decorate as creatively as they like, using an array of toppings – different coloured icings, sprinkles, silver balls, jelly tots, biscuits and chocolate.

Pony rides

Our kid-loving pony, Monty, will be available for an hour during the party.

Jumping Castle

Large selection available – from crocs, gladiators and water slides to castles and ball ponds. Only one children’s party is held at a time. Party times are Saturdays and Sundays 10h00-12h00 or 13h00-15h00. Weekday parties can also be arranged.
